    The Watchman Album

Inspiration and motivation behind the album.

Specializing in reggae music since the days of my youth when Bob Marley and the Wailers inspired me, reggae music and especially conscious reggae music has been part of my life.

All inspiration behind my music comes from the Almighty God. I have always felt and believed that a greater Power is working in me when it comes to writing the kind of lyrics and the emotion which I feel when singing and performing my songs. The Watchman album came into being as I felt that I

was not hearing any believers in Christ writers or singers who were making music for those who are out in the world and searching. People like me when I was struggling with life issues such as drugs, unemployment, religion, lack of family support, police harassment and such likes. I always believed

that there was a Creator, but during these times I needed more than just someone telling me that Jesus loves me.

Therefore, my philosophy on life has always been that, before you can talk about revolution to a man whose belly is empty you need to give him food. I believe the Bible makes that point when Jesus told Peter to “feed My sheep” (John 21: 17). I believe Jesus meant not just with the word, but also to take care of the physiological needs. The songs on ‘The Watchman’ album is all about life’s journey and experiences. Some are personal and others are from observations made due to my work within the field of social science with youth, young offenders, and families in crisis. Ordinary people living ordinary lives and struggling with issues such as religion, drugs, lack of family support, loneliness, unemployment, marginalization and looking for help to come from somewhere. The Watchman album is conscious, it's reggae, it's all about love and humanity, and yes, the Most High has made a tremendous difference in my life and that He can make the difference in yours if you would only let Him.
